Many places in Orange County have a reputation for being great locations to take a vacation. Most of the County is much cleaner and more easily navigated than Los Angeles, and there are plenty of beaches, scenic areas, shopping centers, and amusement parks. Overall, the safety rating of most of Orange County's cities are at a rather high level. The property values in most of these cities continue to rise in generous amounts yearly - good for owners, bad for renters!
The stereotyped downfall of "OC" is that it is a very conservative area, often referred to as "The Orange Curtain." Most residents of Orange County are happy to be there, as there are many cities within its boundaries, all with their own unique attributes.
