LAPC has done so much for my life in L.A.
I moved here from Virginia almost a year ago not knowing
a soul out here. I remember vividly the futile attempts
to meet decent people, and running up a long distance
bill because I missed my sorority sisters and other
friends back home so badly. Once
I finally got up the nerve to go to LAPC events, I really
got to meet a lot of terrific people... some who are
the nicest I've ever met.
I'm also an EC and club volunteer, and am totally addicted
to LAPC now. If I could, I'd go every day. Every
event exceeds my expectations; I'm never disappointed.
I've tried so many new and different things, like Thai
food, and found people who love board games and books
and coffee as much as I do. I talk to several people
almost daily. I just think LAPC is a safe and fun way
to meet great new friends, and without it, I know
I would've thrown my stuff back into my Solara months
ago and be sitting back in Virginia.
LAPC is also kind of like a personal L.A. tour guide.
I would've never discovered so many fun things to do
on my own.
