Well, I'm biased, because I actually work on this website,
but I have to say I am blown away by the fact that such
a small amount of people have created such an enormous
following through LAPC. I see how much gets done and
how many people's lives are enhanced on a daily basis,
both behind-the-scenes and at some of the fun events
I've attended, and it fascinates me.
One of the things that is so great about LAPC is how
our horizons are expanded we meet people from
all walks of life, all ages, ethnicities, personality
types, occupations... LAPC really brings people together
who probably never would have met otherwise, and we
all have a great time getting to know each other.
What better way to beome a more rounded person than
to learn from and grow with people that we don't already
know everything about? Don't you sometimes get sick
of having the same conversation with the same people
over and
over again?
I've lived in Los Angeles and Southern California most
of my life, and I think that anything that can celebrate
people's diversity, and at the same time show people
how much we're really alike when it comes down to it
is JUST what this city needs. With all the negativity
on the news and all the stories we hear daily about
this group versus that group, and what's going wrong
in this world, it's so nice to have a retreat like LAPC
to go to that accentuates the notion that WE ALL
CAN JUST GET ALONG, darnit!!!
