I have lived in Southern California my whole life and
still have so many things I would like to do and see
here. I'm recently divorced and most of my friends are
married and don't have much free time or just don't
have the same interest that I have and I prefer not
to do things just by myself. In this respect LAPC is
perfect for me.
There are so many fun events to choose from and some
of the places I have gone to like Maxwell's, Miceli's
or La Luna Negra, I would have never found on my own.
The first group event I attended was a vegetarian potluck
at Peter's house. I'm a shy person and had to push
myself to attend. I was nervous about how tight the
group would be and if they would accept me. I was ready
to turn around and leave if anything went wrong. But
my fears were soon put aside. Everyone was very
friendly and outgoing and they loved the Sangria I brought.
When Jen and Valerie showed up, the party really came
to life and everyone had a great time.
The thing that amazes me most about the LAPC is the
great people I have met here. They are all very friendly
with all sorts of interesting backgrounds and interests.
Now my calendar is full of fun things to look forward
to. Do yourself a favor and attend at least one of the
events!
