| 2/3/08 | ECs of the Month for 2007 | Before we get too far into 2008, we want to look back at 2007 and thank our ECs of the Month. These are the talented volunteers who build the core of our organization. We are all standing on the shoulders of giants.

| 7/4/07 | EC of the Month: Ron R. from Los Angeles | Contrary to rumor, Ron R. is not a jet-setting dilettante. Well, in that he doesn't have a jet. Yet. But he is definitely the life of the party at mypc events! Ron is a delight to hang out with, whether he's hosting or attending. But Ron is more than just event-candy, he's also part of the mypc volunteer group that plans fund-raisers and recruits supporting members. Ron is burning the candle at both ends to help our club and that's why he's EC of the Month for July!
If you want to bask in the fireworks celebration that is Ron R., make sure you join him with his buddy Harry Potter or perhaps an evening with John Williams. |
| 6/27/07 | Host Your Own Event |
Host Your Own EventIt's easy and fun to host your own event!
You'll act as a greeter (a great excuse to meet everyone) while you plan activities that you've always wanted to share with friends -- catching a new film, seeing an art exhibit, even planning a walk in your neighborhood.
Just fill out an easy form online, and your event is published live on our site for new friends to RSVP. Email our team at Support and we'll hook you up right away!

| 5/5/07 | EC of the Month: Stephanie K from Los Angeles! | Stephanie has truly set the bar for volunteer efforts. Not only is she one of Los Angeles' most active event coordinators and a really nice person, but she's also part of the core volunteer team that helps us keep the club running.
And did we mention her events are just plain cool? Board games! Rollar skating parties! Guitar Hero! Wow! Did you know Stephanie's first MYPC event was bagging groceries for the APLA food bank? And she continues to host volunteer efforts herself. This is one of the little things that raises her from good coordinator to outstanding!
And here's one last tidbit regarding Stephanie! She's working with Shane M. to host the Burbank Road Rally? It's like playing a life-size board game in Burbank! The will be clues, puzzles, prizes and glory. We know you've already signed up... |
| 4/3/07 | Julie B. from Boston is EC of the Month! | My People Connection is truly a national organization and this month we're honoring one of our harder working ECs in Boston: Julie! Those of us in L.A. are a little spoiled -- we can host an event and be assured people we know will show up. It takes true strength of character to host events not knowing if anyone will show up at all, much less someone we know. Boston is lucky to have someone as stalwart as Julie to help build their MyPC community!
Julie is raising the bar in Boston for both quality and quantity of events! If you live in Boston, or even if you're just visiting, we encourage you to check out one of her many events: New member's mixers, museum visits, belly-dancing and movie nights? Wow! Is there anything she can't do? And did we mention she's a genuinely nice person and great to hang out with? Winning personality and winning events make Julie the EC of the Month! |
| 3/6/07 | EC of the Month: Tim E. of Los Angeles! | We're a little late this month, but don't let that reflect badly on Tim. He is far more dependable than that! His monthly book club has been one of the foundation events that make up our Literary category. Interesting in discussing Jimmy Carter's Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid?
But Tim is more than just book events and his volunteer efforts extend beyond ECing. He helped considerably with our early Marketing committee and can always be counted on to support our fundraising and signature events. Members like Tim are why are club is so successful! Our only disappointment is that we can't clone him (yet!)... |
| 2/1/07 | The "Volunteer" of the Month is Peter P. | We're dedicating February to the hardworking volunteers who keep this club running behind the scenes.. Formost among our volunteers is Peter. To call him a mere web designer is to greatly underestimate what he does. He is the architect behind our entire website. Peter's hard work brought us from a simple mailing list to the interactive database we have today.
Not only does Peter keep our website running, but he helps us with balancing our budget and keeping our finances in order as our financial officer. Thanks to Peter's hard work, we can pass as a real professional corporation instead of a bunch of geeks with a website. There's no way we can ever compensate Peter for his thousands of hours of work and dedication, so we just want to take a little time to say "THANK YOU PETER". |
| 1/1/07 | Peter G. is EC of the Month | And a Happy New Year to Peter G. who kicks off 2007 as our first EC of the Month! Peter is a native of Los Angeles, born and bred, AND he's one of LA's most prolific event coordinators, but there's not quantity over quality trade-off here! Peter's events are all good! He's the sort of attentive and friendly person who makes My People Connection great. Hiking, music and just plain different are all part of Peter's event repetoire.
Need to get the New Year off to a great start? How about an Ozzy Osburne tribute band or a little ski mountaineering? |
