Membership Guidelines
My People Connection, LLC is a club for adults. We
presume that everyone follows the 'Golden Rule' and treats
others as they expect to be treated. In keeping with a fun
and responsible atmosphere, we present these guidelines for
expected member behavior.
Remember, in attending any MyPC events, you and any guests
you bring must agree to these conditions:
1. Members must be over 21. Children of MyPC members
may attend appropriate events if their parents accept all
responsibility for them and the event coordinator approves
of their presence.
2. Members will be polite and courteous to others at
MyPC events.
3. Members will be polite and courteous in their communications
regarding MyPC business.
4. Members will respect the rights of homeowners and
will immediately leave an event held in a private home if
asked to do so by the event coordinator or homeowner.
5. Be considerate when RSVPing for events. Members
will make every effort to attend events they have RSVPed to
and cancel in a timely manner RSVPs they cannot meet.
6. Only club officials will represent MyPC's interests.
Members will not present themselves as representing MyPC in
any official capacity unless specifically empowered to do
so by the Club President.
7. Respect the rights of others. While attending MyPC
events in public places members will not act in a manner that
reflects poorly on MyPC. Inappropriate behavior is event specific
and left up to the event coordinator.
8. Follow the laws. Members are expected to follow
all Federal, State and local laws while attending MyPC events.
Membership Removal
In rare instances, individuals may be asked to leave the club.
Members may be removed at the sole discretion of the club
President. Members may be removed for any reason, but are
generally removed for repeated violations of the member guidelines.
After one year, a member may be readmitted with the approval
of the club President.
Disclaimer
The club and its members
take no responsibility and will not be held responsible
for any injuries or accidents that may occur during club events.
Activities and outdoor sports are inherently dangerous and
accidents will happen.
I understand that I am considered an 'invited guest'
and a licensee and that participation in all MyPC listed events
and these activities is 'at my own risk.'
By joining the club or participating
in any events posted on the MyPC web site, you are taking
responsibility for your own safety and well-being.
Anyone with an Internet connection can post a trip on the
MyPC web site. It is your responsibility to determine
if this person has the experience and competence to lead the
trip.
My People Connection, LLC does not certify or confirm the qualifications of any
of its members to lead or participate in trips. No warranty
is implied or intended, use this info at your own risk.
Members Release and Waiver of Liability Indemnity Agreement
YOU are referred to as "I" in the following
waiver. My People Connection, LLC is referred to as "MyPC." Read on...
This Agreement must be read by all event/trip/activity participants
(including any guests you bring) as a condition for participation.
I, herinafter refered to as "respondant," hereby
acknowledge that I am voluntarily reading and/or joining the
MyPC listing service and participating in MyPC activities,
hereinafter referred to as "Activities." I will
be personally responsible for my own safety during these Activities
and assume all risks and accept full and complete responsibility
for any and all damages and personal injury of any kind, including
death. I am aware that the Activities are hazardous, involving
risk of serious bodily injury, death, or property damage and
I am voluntarily participating in these Activities with knowledge
of the risks. I expressly assume the risk of these dangers
including, but not limited to, slips, falls, objects or persons
falling on persons, equipment failure, injury from pointed
equipment, high altitude sickness and/or injury, improperly
administered first aid, lightning strikes, hypothermia, and/or
drowning.
As lawful consideration for being permitted by the group engaging
in these Activities or any of its officers, agents, servants,
volunteers, leaders, activity participants, or employees,
herein referred to as "Releasees," to participate
in these Activities and/or use their equipment, I do, for
myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives,guardians,
distributees, and assigns, collectively referred to as "Releasors,"
hereby release, waive, discharge, and relinquish any action
or causes of action for personal injury, property damage,
or wrongful death which may hereafter arise from the Activities
or any pursuit incidental thereto wherever or however said
pursuit may occur and for any period said Activities and pursuits
may continue.
I further agree that under no circumstances will Releasors
prosecute or present any claim against Releasees for any causes
of action, for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful
death, whether the same shall arise by the negligence or non-intentional
conduct of any of said Releasees from the Activities or any
pursuit incidental thereto.
I and the remaining Releasors hereby agree to indemnify, save
and hold harmless the Releasees and each of them from any
loss, liability, damage or cost (including attorney fees)
which Releasees may incur as a result of injury, death, or
property damage to the undersigned, or from suit from such
personal injury, death, and/or property damage to the undersigned.
This Agreement is intended to be as broad as is permissible
under the law of the State of California and this Agreement
shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of California.
If any portion of this Agreement is invalid and/or is declared
to be invalid by a Court of Law, the balance of the Agreement
shall continue in full force and effect.
Attending any of the events listed on the MyPC web site signifies
that I (and any guests I bring) have read and voluntarily
agree to the release and waiver of liability and indemnity
Agreement and further agrees that no oral representations,
statements, or inducements apart from the foregoing written
Agreement have been made. I acknowledge that I have read the
foregoing paragraphs and am completely aware of the potential
dangers incident to engaging in the Activities, and fully
aware of the legal consequen-ces of agreeing to the within
instrument. Respondants and guests action of attending MyPC-listed
events signifies agreement to this waiver of liability.
