A LOGIC PUZZLE

Reginald Eastlake was murdered last night. The killer must be one of four suspects: Madame D., Professor Q., Doctor L., and Mister E. Although one is guilty of murder, each of them have a secret. In no particular order, one is a bankrobber, another a blackmailer, a third is a forger, and the fourth is an FBI informant.

The suspects all know each other's secrets, and made the following statements. However:

All of the killer's statements are lies.

All of the FBI informant's statements are true. (therefore the informant is NOT the killer).

One and only one of the suspects is insane, and alternately lies and tells the truth (or tells the truth and lies). The insane suspect is not the killer, and is not the FBI informant.

Madame D.
The other woman is insane.

Professor Q.
That's true.

Doctor L.
I am not the killer.

Mister E.
I am not the killer.

Madame D.
Mister E. is the blackmailer.

Professor Q.
Doctor L. is the blackmailer.

Doctor L.
I am the blackmailer.

Mister E.
I am the blackmailer.

Professor Q.
I am a woman.

Doctor L.
I am a woman.

Mister E.
The killer is a man.

Madame D.
I am the FBI informant.

Doctor L.
She's lying.

Who is the killer?

Paintings vanish from the art gallery. A young monk's body is found thrown from the abbey wall. A woman suddenly vanishes. Ed can't find his pants.

Quickly, Watson! It's Game Night: Murder and Mystery!

Brother Adelmo has been brutally murdered, and the killer must be one of his fellow monks. To solve the crime, consult arcane tomes in the library, gather rumors in the parlor, and receive wisdom from the tomb of the saints. Move quickly, before the bell summons you to evening prayers. Someone must solve the Mystery of the Abbey-- will it be you, brother?
3-6 players.

There's a thief in the art gallery! In this cat-and-mouse-chase, the burglar must weave past guards, security cameras, and motion detectors, stealing works of art. The other players must unite to trap the thief before he or she escapes with the goods. Similar to Scotland Yard, Clue: the Great Museum Caper was honored with the Mensa Select® designation in 1991.
2-4 players.

Poor Ed. Not only have his pants been stolen, but the police have no clues to lead them to the culprit. Fortunately, Ed's neighbors are all gossips, scheming to catch the crook through zany accusations. The garbageman says the killer looked like a pirate, and you have a parrot! The theft occured around 8:15--didn't you miss your 8:00 yoga class? In the end, it doesn't really matter Who Stole Ed's Pants. Just as long as you don't get blamed for it.
3-4 players.

Alibi, a boardless cousin of Clue, not only asks who, where, and with what, but also when and why. Question other players to figure out which cards they've eliminated, but don't give away what you know! There are 140,000 wrong answers and only one right one--can you find it? Win a bonus if you're confident enough to accuse first, but lose double the points if you're wrong!
3-10 players.

Recreate one of the first detective stories from fiction combined with the classic game of Rummy in Murders in the Rue Morgue. Collect and play melds of evidence to solve the crime, be inspired by brilliant deductions, and earn extra cards from an escaped orangutan. Play with partners or everyone for themselves.
2-4 players.

You ever notice that when some rich-so-and so dies in his mansion, it turns out every guest had a reason for wanting the buzzard dead? Everyone wants to Kill Doctor Lucky, gathering weapons (Pool cue? Hedge clippers? Antique cannon?) and waiting for the opportunuty to get alone with the Doctor. In this tongue-in-cheek game, the killer is the winner.
2-8 players.
