Developed in the early 1920s, Whitley Heights was Los Angeles' first celebrity neighborhood. This neighborhood is in the hills above the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame, north of Franklin Avenue from Cahuenga Boulevard to Highland Avenue. To get to Whitley Heights from Franklin Avenue, turn north on Whitley Avenue, two blocks west of Cahuenga. The neighborhood was split in two by the construction of the Hollywood Freeway. To reach the smaller part of Whitley Heights, take Cahuenga north and go under the freeway.
