Belonging to My People Connection has provided me with lots of opportunities to try new restaurants (like
ladies tea shops, French bistros, and Tibetan-Nepalese food), hang out with people who have similar interests (Lord of the Rings, opera, and poker),
learn new crafts (crocheting) from experienced crafters, and take trips
to fantastic places like Las Vegas.
There is just such a wealth of events to pick from that sometimes
I find it hard to decide on which great event to attend! |

My People Connection has enabled me to meet many more people and experience a much wider range of culture that I normally would have.
I was pretty new to L.A. and looking for friends group to meet more new people, outside of work. I did a web search and MyPC came up. After reading about it a bit (and seeing that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to join - it's FREE!), I decided to give it a try. And I'm glad I did!
The Bar of the Month Club gatherings are always fun. Sometimes there's such a great turnout, like at the Chateau Marmont or the Formosa Cafe, that we run out of room and take over the place!
MyPC is a great group where people with similar (or even different!) interests can meet and mingle. |

My People Connection has affected my life in a number of positive
ways.
I travel a lot for work, and though I have a very close family,
I felt a huge hole in my community. MyPC has really helped to create
a strong network/community of friends, some of which I'm sure will
stand the test of time. MyPC has also gotten me back out and into
my city and just having fun. I'm really glad I joined. |

I think my life has improved so much with My People Connection.
I met some great people and explored parts of LA I never knew existed
or was too afraid to see by myself.
Now I have friends that share many of the same interests as I do.
Exploring people and places is what makes life worth living. |

I joined when I was single, and My People Connection saved me endless nights of bad Internet dates. It's great way to make friends, and it gives you an excuse to dine out without having to ask someone on a date!
Now that I have a man, it still comes in handy when he's away or has his kids for the weekend. Even though I work odd hours, there's almost always an activity scheduled for when I am free.

My People Connection has been a great avenue to meet new people, visit places in and near Los Angeles
that I'd always planned to but never made the time myself (Lotusland, Gamble House to name a couple), and try
new crafts (Jen's glass fusing was fabulous!).
Nice group of people, and, since it's NOT a singles group, I feel
comfortable attending events with my husband. |

Ever since I joined the group, I have never had a reason to be bored. Even though I had lived in Chicago for 4 years before joining the group, I never explored the city as much as I did after joining My People Connection.
I managed to make friends with some great people and have gotten to know so many more cool places around town. It provides a great avenue for all the things that I've wanted to do as I can always find people to join me for it.
My favourite events have been restaurant and coffee shop events since the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, and you get to have a good conversation with a lot of people. It is so much fun being part of a diverse group such as this. |

I've been amazed at how many interesting, intelligent, friendly,
fun people I've met - people just wanting to share common interests
and activities; and being a non-dating oriented group, there are
endless opportunities for "people connections" on all
levels and for all reasons.
The Event Coordinators are very creative and thorough in planning
events, and I've enjoyed everything from laser tag to game days
to gourmet dinners to museums, to theme parties, and on and on.
The fun never stops! |

I enjoy exploring the city and meeting new people, and MyPC allows me to do just that.
If it wasn't for MYPC I wouldn't have found out about the Clarendon Street Fair, the free classic movies at the Building Museum, and I wouldn't have experienced eating sushi at a place called "Sushi."
Through MyPC I met a diverse group of peers and have had a lot of laughs with them. |

This group is great -- with a wide variety of people.
The event coordinators are wonderful at making everybody feel welcome that comes out to events.
So many events are great, and I have enjoyed going to the ones I have been to.
Also, there being no fees to be a member and participate is VERY good. |

I've only met one person so far, but this organization looks very friendly and encouraging. It will take time to build up a following in Chicago. The tools on the site are very easy to use. |

My People Connection has helped me meet people who I'm sure I'd never have met otherwise. :) |

MyPC has had a tremendous impact on my life. Pre-MyPC I was new in town and kinda bored. Post-MyPC, I have an incredibly active social life, a full cell phone directory, and fantastic friends.
When I first came to LA five years ago, I couldn't find people who wanted to go exploring and do fun stuff, not just hang out in noisy bars. I came across the website, and I was sure MyPC was some crazy creepy dating thing. Not even close! I signed up for a New Members Mixer, and sixty people came, but the three people sitting next to me were so cool, that I never had time to talk to anybody else.
Since then, I have played board games, poker, gone to teas, tried new restaurants, gone to free movie screenings, taken cooking classes, explored town, and gone on camping trips, picnics, crazy themed parties, women's blender nights and flea market mornings.
Have you ever been at a restaurant or a park and you see a group of people having a great time, and you wish you could join in? That group is My People Connection, and you can come play. |

Many people live in Los Angeles without knowing the tremendous amount of things it has to offer. I was one of those people. I'd work hard going through various publications like Rave, Weekender and Digitalcity and still only find 1/100th of the interesting things to see and do.
My People Connetion now has become my eyes and ears for interesting things to do. I'm no longer one person but a whole network that spans the entire city.
So, is MyPC :all: about finding interesting things to do? No, it's also been about the wonderful people that I see at every book group, hike, movie, or art exhibit. It's about creating friendships out of this chaotic concrete palm tree-lined place called Los Angeles. I'm not a native of Los Angeles, but when I'm at an MyPC event, I somehow feel like we're all natives. |
