I'm out of the house! Meeting new people has been a
blast, and I always know there's no chance I'll be bored.
I've always been a life-of-the-party person, but
with so much to do in the area, finding people to explore
those things was still tough. This has really gotten
me motivated to be out enjoying life.
The atmosphere is relaxed. LAPC has events just for
women and a variety of activities. You never know if
it's dancing, talking, walking, or movies, but you can
pick
from all of them and know the people you meet will
be enjoyable.
One of my favorite events was the New Member Mixer
at the Coffee Table in Silver Lake. So many people
came to check out the group, many ages and backgrounds,
that finding someone interesting
was a snap.
Each volunteer event coordinator keeps things rolling
- they're naturals at getting conversation going and
introducing everyone. This group flourishes with all
the volunteer participation.
